Overview:
Tokyu Plaza Ginza set up a “Clothing Post” in collaboration with organic cosmetics brand “Be Organic”, to accept donations of used clothing for 1 week in December 2021. This was the second time the donation site was set up, following Earth Day in April 2021. “Clothing Post” accepts used clothing that is in good condition, to be reused and sold at flea markets around the world. In addition, a cash donation was made to an organization involved in environmental protection and community projects.

What we did:
① Giving back to society by gathering used clothing
In order to raise awareness for the sustainable activities of Tokyu Plaza Ginza, a press release was distributed. “Clothing Post” was promoted as a simple action that could help society.
② Adding an incentive
Working in collaboration with organic cosmetics brand “Be Organic”, customers received exclusive novelty items in exchange for their donation. As a result, 62 people contributed more than 120 kg of clothing. Clothing will be reused in other countries. In addition, a monetary donation was made to C.W. Nicol Memorial Fund for Nature Restoration.
