image
Client
ZOZO, Inc.

Overview:

SSU was responsible for the set up and operation of multiple, large capacity hospitality tents for the first PGA TOUR tournament in Japan, “ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP 2019” to represent the scale of the event. While the event was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID, a scaled down event was held in 2021 with SSU at the helm.

What we did:

In partnership with GL Events, a leading French event company and a SSU partner, a total of 7 large scale tents (1350㎡hospitality tent, media tent, event merchandise tent, etc.) were designed, set up and operated under SSU coordination and handling. 5 months were spent on design development and planning, while the actual tents were set up in less than 2 months through close communication with both ZOZO and the PGA TOUR. The scale of the tents were a first for Japan, requiring close coordination and communication with the local municipalities to ensure all local regulations were met. The standard white tents were painted black, further enhancing the branding for the event.

Incorporating these customized, large scale tents, we were able to enhance the branding for Japan’s first ever PGA TOUR event Japan and the largest prize package, earning high praise from our clients, the participants and spectators.
