Overview
The NEO Moon Life Exhibition Production Committee held a special exhibition at the Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation from April 28 (Fri) to September 3 (Sun), 2023, where visitors could experience life on the moon. The exhibition, titled “NEO Moon Life Exhibition: Space Development Enters a New Era of Lunar Migration!”, depicts a world where long-term stays by lunar pioneers have become a reality based on scientific knowledge. Visitors can become pioneers of the moon and experience its “lifestyle” while having fun learning about space.
Activities
① Effective use of current information
The media was invited by using the hook that the landing challenge of the first private lunar exploration program “HAKUTO-R” was just before the exhibition, and that the only place in Japan where you can see a full-scale model of “HAKUTO-R” is the Moon Life Exhibition. By providing information along with highly topical related topics, the effect of the pre-opening preview was maximized.
② Media preview design based on content characteristics
For the main content, the “Lunar Gravity Experience,” it was essential for participants to wear tethers and harnesses. Therefore, when sending out press invitations, we confirmed whether they wished to participate and informed the media to come to the designated time and place on the day. This made it possible to avoid congestion in the booth and realize a smooth media preview.
