SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President CEO: Etsuko Tsugihara; hereinafter, the “Company”) will introduce a new special paid leave program, “Minna de Iku-gyo” (Raising the Future Together), as part of our proprietary employee benefits package, “32 Benefits,” which we continuously update day by day by incorporating changes in the times and feedback from our members, effective Monday, June 1, 2026.

This program is being introduced with the aim of creating an environment in which childcare is supported by society as a whole, and it is designed to support members involved in childcare from diverse standpoints, including relatives and children in the neighborhood.

Background to the Program’s Introduction

In recent years, against the backdrop of the declining birthrate and the increase in dual-income households, the importance of supporting childcare not only within the household but through society as a whole—including local communities and people around us—has been growing.

The “Minna de Iku-gyo” (Raising the Future Together) program being introduced this time is intended to encourage participation in childcare in a variety of forms—such as by grandparents, relatives, and people in the community who are involved with children—based on the belief that childcare should be supported not only by parents but by society as a whole. In establishing this program, we resonated with the concept advocated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government of “Iku-gyo” (childcare is not a “break” but an important job that nurtures the future), and named it the “Minna de Iku-gyo” program.

Through this program, the Company will support members involved in childcare from diverse standpoints and work to create an environment in which childcare is supported by society as a whole. In addition, starting with “32 Benefits,” we will continue to enhance programs and workplace environments so that each member can work in a way that is true to themselves.

What Is the “Minna de Iku-gyo” Program?

This program encourages a wide range of involvement in childcare beyond the household, including support for mother and child immediately after childbirth, childcare support, support for caring for sick or injured children, and accompanying children to school events and community activities. In addition, by enabling consecutive leave when combined with annual paid leave, the program supports ongoing involvement that goes beyond temporary assistance.

■ What is our proprietary employee benefits package, “32 Benefits,” designed to help you “work happily and live happily”?

Established in 2011 under the slogan “Let’s Have Fun!”, this is our proprietary employee benefits program designed to help each member work in a way that is true to themselves and enjoy a fulfilling life. In addition to unique programs that reflect who we are—such as “Fun Commotion Creation Support,” “Romance Showdown Leave,” “Heartbreak Leave,” “Birthday Leave,” and “Happiness Won’t Come to You on Foot”—we have introduced programs that flexibly support diverse lifestyles and ways of working. By reflecting changes in the times and feedback from our members and continuously updating these programs, we are promoting the creation of an environment in which each person can thrive more authentically.
