SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Etsuko Tsugihara, hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has been awarded the highest prize in the “Corporate communications – Agency” category at the international awards “Golden World Awards 2022” (Golden World Awards 2022) hosted by the International Public Relations Association (International Public Relations Association, hereinafter referred to as “IPRA”).

Our group has been actively strengthening its “social good activities (efforts to address social issues)”, which we have been working on for a long time since our founding, against the backdrop of increasing momentum for SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations) in Japan in recent years. In June 2021, we established the “Social Good Promotion Office” to promote the resolution of social issues. Furthermore, in September of the same year, we established “Good Company Inc.”, which is engaged in the development of social issue resolution platforms, to establish a foundation for more concrete activities. In “W society,” a project that designs women’s success from both the physical and social aspects, which is a representative example, we are conducting awareness-raising activities that involve companies and consumers to promote the “Well-Living (a state in which each woman can live better)” of each woman. It went beyond the scope of corporate communication and contributed to changing the awareness of companies and individuals.

This series of corporate communication activities for social issues has been highly evaluated as a “social good company” that works to solve social issues, leading to this award.

Based on our corporate slogan, “Let’s Have Fun!”, which has remained unchanged since our founding, we will continue to face social issues with the power of PR and communication as a “social good company” and disseminate news, projects, and movements that encompass sociality to the world.

The “Golden World Awards” is one of the leading international awards in the PR industry, with entries received from around the world every year since its establishment in 1990. Entries can be made in a wide variety of 38 categories, and in addition to the IPRA Grand Prix, which is the highest award, this year a special award will be given to campaigns that symbolize “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” one of the items of the “SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)” set by the United Nations. This is a project that designs the “Well-Living (a state in which each woman can live better)” of each woman from both the physical (W=woman) and social (society) aspects of women, with the aim of creating a “society in which all women can build fulfilling lifestyles with satisfaction.” We are developing each measure with the three pillars of “knowing,” “learning,” and “changing,” and as a social participation-type project that transcends companies and collaborates with industry, government, and academia, we are promoting the social implementation of measures that contribute to solving issues and social innovation.
