SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Etsuko Tsugihara; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) will update its unique welfare program, the “32 (SUNNY) Systems,” on Thursday, July 7, 2022, to create a more comfortable working environment for each member.

Our “32 Systems” is a unique welfare program that includes the “Heartbreak Leave” and “Partnership” system. It is operated daily in line with social trends and reflecting the voices of members. This time, we will further expand the cost subsidy for the “AMH Test”※ for female members to “know their bodies,” which was introduced in April 2022, and newly introduce a cost subsidy for “Semen Test” for male members. In addition, the eligibility for the “AMH Test” cost subsidy will be expanded not only to female members but also to male members’ families and partners. We will create opportunities for all our members, their families, and partners to face their bodies and futures.
※ AMH Test: (Anti-Müllerian Hormone Test: A blood test that reflects the ovarian reserve [an estimate of the number of follicles remaining in the ovary])

■Additional Introduction of “Semen Test” Cost Subsidy

The “Dear WOMAN” system is a representative of our welfare program. In July 2015, we were the first private company in Japan to introduce “Egg Freezing Subsidy” as a welfare benefit. Furthermore, in April 2022, in line with the revision of the subsidy rules accompanying the expansion of insurance coverage for infertility treatment, we added a cost subsidy for the “AMH Test” for female members. Due to the high response rate, with 15% of eligible individuals using the system as of the end of June, we have added a cost subsidy for the “Semen Test” to the same system in order to create opportunities for male members to “face their own bodies.”

According to a WHO (World Health Organization) survey on the causes of infertility, male factors (male only or both male and female) account for approximately 50% of all cases. Against this background, by providing men with the opportunity to face their own bodies, we will create opportunities for everyone, not just women, to face issues related to fertility and infertility.

■Expansion of “AMH Test” Cost Subsidy Eligibility to Male Members’ Families and Partners

The eligibility for the “AMH Test” cost subsidy, which was previously limited to female members, will be expanded to male members’ families and partners. In order to further promote “preconception care,” which involves knowing and facing one’s own body, we will provide opportunities for not only those who are planning to become pregnant but also SUNNY SIDE UP members who may wish to become pregnant in the future, as well as people who are important to members, to think broadly about their life plans.
