Overview

Forestgate Daikanyama, proposing a ‘work, live, play’ lifestyle in close proximity, opened on Thursday, October 19, 2023. This facility is a new complex consisting of two buildings: the ‘MAIN Building,’ designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma and comprising rental residences, shared offices, and commercial facilities, located in a flagship location facing Hachiman-dori and Daikanyama-dori, very close to Daikanyama Station; and the ‘TENOHA Building,’ offering sustainable living experiences. SSU was in charge of producing and promoting the media preview held on Thursday, October 12, prior to the opening, the opening ceremony held on the grand opening day, and media relations before and after the opening.

Activities

① Held in three parts to maximize the appeal of the facility, including rental residences, shared offices, and tenants.

Part 1: Overall presentation (regarding rental residences, tenants, etc.) and preview tour; Part 2: Explanation of the regional sustainable base; Part 3: Explanation of the food platform project disseminating new food culture. By segmenting and disseminating information about the facility with a large amount of content, we increased the understanding of participants in each session and acquired high-quality article placements.

 

② Conducted a tour of all floors that could only be experienced on the day.

The ‘Commercial Zone’ proposing a new lifestyle, the ‘Lifestyle Proposal Housing’ designed with three partners, the ‘General Housing’ where you can enjoy nature even in the city, the sustainable activity base ‘TENOHA Building,’ the ‘Japan Food Research Laboratories’ disseminating new food culture, and each spot was staffed with explainers, and multiple points were set up where the media could cover, resulting in highly fulfilling articles.

 

③ Successfully attracted 95 media representatives and gained over 680 exposures under the circumstances that more than half of the tenants were opening in stages.

Although only 6 out of all 14 tenants were open as of October 19, by combining the efforts of the entire ‘Shibuya Area Project’ aiming to realize a Shibuya-style urban life and providing optimal information tailored to each medium, such as food, sustainability, and housing, we succeeded in attracting as many as 95 media representatives.
