Overview

In 2019, the “ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP,” Japan’s first PGA TOUR tournament and the highest-prize-money golf tournament in Japanese history, garnered significant public attention. To express the unprecedented scale of the tournament, we handled the introduction of the first large-scale hospitality tents in Japanese golf history.

Activities

Under SSU coordination and handling, we partnered with GL Events, a major French event company with whom we have a partnership agreement, to design and construct a total of seven large tents, including hospitality tents (including a large tent with a maximum area of 1350 square meters), media tents, and merchandise tents. We spent more than five months planning and designing with ZOZO and the PGA TOUR to create an overwhelming sense of scale for this tournament, and completed the seven large tents in just under two months after the start of construction. Given that this was a temporary structure of unprecedented scale in Japan, we worked closely with Chiba Prefecture and succeeded in constructing one of the largest temporary tents within Japanese construction standards. In addition, we were able to create an impact as a fully customized tent by completely customizing the normally white tent to the brand color, black.

We successfully cultivated an even greater sense of scale at a tournament that had already garnered a great deal of attention from the outset as Japan’s first tournament with the highest prize money in history, and we received high praise from ZOZO, the PGA, and all those who attended.
