Overview

“Asobuild” is a composite experience entertainment building directly connected to the Minami East Exit passage of Yokohama Station, which opened in March 2019 with the concept of a “Playful Station-Adjacent Building.” Renovating and utilizing the Yokohama Central Post Office Annex, which is directly connected to Yokohama Station, one of Japan’s leading terminal stations, aims to allow people of all ages to easily experience entertainment content that stimulates curiosity in their daily lives. “Unko Museum YOKOHAMA,” an original experiential content, and the indoor kids’ park “PuChu!” have gained popularity, and the number of visitors exceeded 1 million in just about three months after its opening.

Activities

We were in charge of PR for the opening period of “Asobuild.” We disseminated information from before the opening of the facility, which is positioned in the development planned area (Oasis Plan area) in “Excite Yokohama 22,” as a facility where you can have a “real experience” that can mobilize all five senses. Unlike commercial facilities, apparel is not included, and unlike conventional entertainment facilities such as bowling alleys, we used the unique “composite experience entertainment building” as a hook to disseminate information on the WEB and SNS that are highly compatible with the facility, and then led to exposure in mass media. By promoting PR communication that emphasizes “experiential content” such as “Unko Museum YOKOHAMA,” “MONOTORY,” and “PITCH CLUB,” we contributed to maximizing the buzz.
