Overview

“JINS” continues to create new value by going beyond the framework of “eyeglasses = vision correction tool” and providing eyeglasses as familiar fashion items, as well as functional eyewear that “protects the eyes” that even people with good eyesight can wear.
The next-generation roadside store “JINS Power Mall Maebashi Minami Store,” which features the “world’s first” drive-through eyeglass sales window, opened in April 2013, and we aimed to generate buzz through PR.

Activities

Planned and implemented the opening PR for the “World’s First Drive-Through Eyeglasses” store.
Focusing on the novelty of being the world’s first, we aimed to output the uniqueness and fun of buying eyeglasses through a drive-through, the significance of the JINS brand’s efforts, and the background of Gunma Prefecture, where the store is located, having a “drive-through culture,” starting with the PR event. The event attracted a great deal of media attention due to the abundance of information available in addition to the event, and we succeeded in gaining a large number of interviews after the event, without it ending as a one-time PR event.
