- 2009
Overview
“11 for AFRICA” is a social contribution project in which Level-5 Inc. donates 11 yen for each copy sold of the game software “Inazuma Eleven 3: Challenge the World!! Spark/Bomber,” released in July 2010. The project was planned and implemented by Level-5 Inc. and the TAKE ACTION FOUNDATION, and included ball distribution projects in Africa.
Activities
The project aimed to raise awareness of the situation in South Africa and create opportunities to participate in social contribution. The collected donations of ¥12,111,440 were used through UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) to implement education programs using soccer balls for children in the Republic of South Africa. The first program was implemented on December 3, 2010, at a secondary school in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and was subsequently conducted at 585 elementary and junior high schools throughout South Africa, distributing more than 30,000 balls, significantly exceeding the initially planned 10,000 balls.
