SUNNY SIDE UP Inc., which leads the core business of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc., has entered into a strategic partnership with note inc. and will begin offering a “next-generation PR model” solution that aims to create new value in PR and communications in the AI era by leveraging the media platform “note” provided by the company.
As a “Relations Design Company,” we have designed relationships between companies/brands and people/society through integrated communication solutions rooted in PR thinking. In November last year, we launched the specialist team “AI Dialogue & Relations Team” to design “relationships between companies and society” in the AI era. In addition to generating buzz through conventional PR and communications, we are expanding PR to optimize and deliver corporate value for the AI era.
In recent years, the rapid spread of generative AI has accelerated the “zero-click” phenomenon, in which users obtain information and complete their journey solely through search results or AI chats. As a result, future public relations will require not only information dissemination to media and consumers, but also “information design to ensure AI correctly learns and recommends a company’s information (AIO: AI Optimization).” By viewing AI as a new “stakeholder,” it is becoming essential for sustainable growth that a company’s intentions and reliable primary information are accurately cited and accumulated as information assets that will continue to be referenced over time.
Against this backdrop, we will develop a new communication solution that fuses the “PR and communications” we have cultivated over many years—drawing people’s interest and generating empathy and enthusiasm—with “note,” an infrastructure optimized for the AI era. Under this partnership, we will establish a joint project team between the two companies and propose and roll out a new form of PR and communications that continues to be chosen by both AI and consumers.
■ Development of a new package integrating SUNNY SIDE UP’s “integrated communication solutions rooted in PR thinking” withnote’s “AI recommendation engine”
We will jointly develop a “next-generation PR package” in which we strategically leverage note’s recommendation engine and mechanisms for organizing and optimizing content in ways that AI can easily understand, while we provide end-to-end support—from planning corporate PR strategies to operating note and distributing content. By accumulating primary information such as a company’s expertise and real-world experiences in a form that AI can readily understand, we aim to realize the “B to A with C (Business to AI, with Consumer)” model, in which a company’s value is accurately reflected in AI-generated answers.
■ Building an ecosystem that combines “facts” with “enthusiasm” to turn empathy into action
To prevent challenges that arise as AI adoption advances—such as “homogenization of outputs” and “loss of corporate distinctiveness”—we will design a mechanism that integrates the dissemination of objective “facts,” including press releases, with the dissemination of “enthusiasm,” such as the experiences and intentions of those in charge, through note. Looking ahead, we will also leverage note’s strengths in hashtag functionality and community building to share “authentic voices with enthusiasm (primary information),” whose scarcity value will increase in the AI era, while advancing initiatives with a view to building a new ecosystem that seamlessly connects to concrete user actions such as experiences and purchases.
