32 System Updates: New Systems to Support Diversified Childcare, Nursing Care, and Work Styles – Introducing “Dear PARENTS” and “Dear FAMILY”

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Etsuko Tsugihara; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) will establish two new systems, “Dear PARENTS” and “Dear FAMILY,” on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. These systems will be added to the Company’s unique welfare program, “32 Systems,” which is continuously updated to incorporate changes in the times and feedback from members, to support childcare, nursing care, and the diversification of work styles.

Against the backdrop of the revised Act on Childcare Leave and Family Care Leave, which began to be implemented in stages from April 2025, and following the “Dear WOMAN” system that expands lifestyle options for women, we have newly added the “Dear PARENTS” system to support members who are “parents” raising children and members who have “parents” requiring nursing care from the two perspectives of “childcare and nursing care,” and the “Dear FAMILY” system to further deepen connections with family and foster relationships between the company and family. In addition, we have updated several systems in response to changes in the times, such as the introduction of the “Support Hour” system to support the flexible work styles of such “parent” members, and the “Sweat Activity” system aimed at maintaining the mental and physical health and improving the well-being of all members.

New Systems to Support Diverse Life Stages

“Dear PARENTS” System

This system supports members who aim to balance childcare or nursing care with work. In light of the revisions to the Act on Childcare Leave and Family Care Leave and the situation in Japan, where the declining birthrate and aging population are progressing, we will provide support from both childcare and nursing care perspectives while supporting each member’s diverse life stages.

・Expanded the period during which male members can take special prenatal (postnatal) leave to “from 7 days before the expected date of delivery or the date of delivery to within 6 months after delivery”
・Partial subsidy for babysitter usage fees

<介護支援>
・For members who provide nursing care for cohabiting family members, expenses for helper services, etc., will be subsidized in stages according to the level of care required.

“Dear FAMILY” System

This system aims to value connections with family and foster relationships between the company and family. Throughout the year, we will provide events and opportunities to deepen understanding of work and promote interaction with family.

<主な取り組み>
・Establishment of “Nest For Kids,” a place for members raising children to exchange information
・Holding of “Family Day,” an event to invite family and friends to the office
・Implementation of the “Kids Intern” office experience program for children up to elementary school age during long vacations

■Other Updates

With the aim of fostering a culture that supports these diverse work styles, we have newly introduced the “Support Hour” system. If it is necessary to temporarily leave work during work hours due to childcare, nursing care, or other reasons, the status “In Support Hour” is displayed on the in-house communication tool, and a mechanism is established for the team to follow up on work, thereby promoting more flexible work styles. In addition to these systems, we have also introduced the “Sweat Activity” system to subsidize the usage fees for gyms and saunas in order to support members’ mental and physical health maintenance and improve their well-being. In response to the increasing need for health support systems, including the existing “Early to Bed, Early to Rise” system that supports members’ sufficient sleep time, we have further enhanced the systems that support members’ health.

Going forward, we will continue to prioritize creating an environment where members can work and live in their own way, while flexibly responding to changes in the times and feedback from members. We will strive to continuously review the system and create a culture where each member can continue to take on challenges with peace of mind, while leveraging their diverse values and lifestyles.

■“What is the unique welfare program “32 Systems” for “working happily and living happily”?

The unique welfare program was established in 2011 under the slogan “Let’s Have Fun!,” so that each member can work in their own way and lead a fulfilling life. We have incorporated unique systems that are characteristic of our company, such as “Fun Creation Support,” “Love Match Leave,” “Heartbreak Leave,” “Birthday Leave,” and “Happiness Doesn’t Come Walking,” as well as systems that flexibly support diverse lifestyles and work styles. By continuously updating the system to reflect changes in the times and feedback from members, we are promoting the creation of an environment where each individual can shine in their own way.
