JAPAN CRAFT SAKE COMPANY, represented by Hidetoshi Nakata, Executive Officer of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Etsuko Tsugihara), will hold the Japanese food culture festival “CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2025 at ROPPONGI HILLS” at Roppongi Hills Arena (Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo) for 12 days from Friday, April 18 to Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

“CRAFT SAKE WEEK” started in 2016 with the desire to “convey the wonders of Japanese culture to many people,” after organizer Hidetoshi Nakata traveled all over Japan, met many producers mainly in sake, Japanese tea, and crafts, and felt the depth and potential of sake in particular while experiencing Japan’s proud culture and technology.

This event focuses on the appeal of carefully selected sake from all over the country, and in recent years has been promoting Japanese food culture, including Japanese tea. In addition to being held six times in Roppongi (Tokyo), it has also been held in local cities such as Hakata (Fukuoka) and Sendai (Miyagi), attracting over 1 million visitors.

This will be the 7th time the event has been held in Roppongi, and like last year, it will be held for 12 days. Over 100 people, including Hidetoshi Nakata, sake experts, top chefs, and sommeliers, will sample over 400 breweries and provide carefully selected sake. 120 breweries carefully selected from all over the country, including 16 breweries exhibiting for the first time, will be exhibiting.

In addition, 15 top restaurants, including restaurants that are difficult to reserve, will be opening. During the event period, you can enjoy special sake that the breweries have prepared for this day, along with limited original menus created by top chefs.

During the event, a different sake theme is set each day, and 10 breweries are carefully selected each day according to the theme. Therefore, even if you visit every day, you will discover something new and find sake that suits your taste. At the venue, the brewers themselves will serve sake, so you can not only enjoy the taste, but also learn about the depth and enjoyment of sake, as well as pairings with food, making it a place where you can fully learn about the appeal of sake.
