SUNNY SIDE UP Launches “Regional Revitalization Unit” ~ Supporting Regional Attraction and Expansion of Tourism Consumption with the Power of Public Relations (PR) ~

SUNNY SIDE UP Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryu See-chau), which is responsible for the core business of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc., has launched a specialized unit, the “Regional Revitalization Unit,” to solve the problems of communities such as local governments and companies, in response to the rapid increase in inbound foreign tourists, which has increased 15 times※1 compared to last year after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the recovery of domestic tourism needs, which has increased 1.15 times※2 compared to last year.

Energizing Japan with Fun and Supporting a Sustainable Tourism Industry with the “Regional Revitalization Unit”

Our group has been working with the Japan Tourism Agency and the Agency for Cultural Affairs to support the improvement of recognition of local tourism and culture, and to revitalize local communities, as well as providing public relations support for tourism and culture-related companies and organizations. We will make maximum use of our accumulated achievements and know-how to provide strategic and highly effective marketing solutions to companies and local governments facing challenges in regional revitalization, by comprehensively combining consulting for tourism promotion and recognition of local culture, PR planning, media promotion, press tours, fact book production, implementation of events and campaigns, digital marketing, and influencer marketing.

At the center of the members who will comprehensively promote the activities of the “Regional Revitalization Unit” are Hidetoshi Nakata, who is well-versed in “Japan as content,” and Masato Kokubo (from Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture), Executive Vice President of SUNNY SIDE UP, who has served as the general producer of “Nihonmono,” which has traveled to all 47 prefectures in Japan. In addition, Aomi Kawai (from Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture), Executive Officer and Director of the Account Planning Division, who has served as a coach for the Japan Tourism Agency’s “Project to Create New Time Markets by Utilizing Nighttime and Early Morning Hours in FY2020” and as a member of the Chiba City Nighttime Economy Promotion Council, and has been involved in numerous regional revitalization projects, has been appointed. By combining our knowledge and the comprehensive marketing and communication capabilities of our company, we have created a powerful unit unlike any other.
