SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Etsuko Tsugihara; hereinafter “the Company”) will update its unique welfare program, “32 Systems,” from Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in response to the voices of members and in line with social trends.
In line with changes to subsidy rules accompanying the expansion of insurance coverage for infertility treatment, we will expand the “Dear WOMAN” program, which includes egg freezing assistance, and introduce a system to subsidize the cost of “AMH testing” (anti-Müllerian hormone testing: a blood test that reflects the ovarian reserve [an estimate of the number of follicles remaining in the ovaries]), promoting awareness of “creating opportunities for women to face their own bodies.” The content of the “32 Systems” will continue to be updated rapidly, reflecting the voices of members in accordance with diversifying work styles.
■“32 Systems” Update Points
❶“Preconception care” is now the norm. AMH testing cost subsidies introduced into welfare benefits (scheduled to take effect in April)
In July 2015, the Company established the “Dear WOMAN” program, becoming the first private company in Japan to introduce “egg freezing assistance” into its welfare benefits. The “Partnership” system, established ahead of revisions to Shibuya Ward ordinances, grants rights such as marriage leave to members who have entered into same-sex or common-law marriages. We have been promoting the creation of an environment where “each individual can work in their own way,” embodying the spirit of diversity and inclusion.
Now, we are introducing “AMH testing assistance” as an expansion of the “Dear WOMAN” program. We will create opportunities for all female members to consider their life plans so that “preconception care (care that is important not only for women planning to become pregnant, but for all women of childbearing age),” in which they know and care for their own bodies, becomes the norm, even for those who are not undergoing fertility treatment.

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP is promoting activities as a company that embodies diversity and inclusion, with Etsuko Tsugihara, President and CEO of the Company, serving as the chairperson of the Keidanren Diversity Promotion Committee. Under these circumstances, in order to promote the creation of an environment where “each individual can work in their own way,” we plan to add a new “childcare support” system to the “Sunny Baby” system, which provides 1 million yen each time a second or subsequent child is born to members who marry each other. We aim to provide childcare support in all styles, regardless of whether it is an in-house marriage, an out-of-house marriage, or a common-law marriage, by making it possible to use sitter cost subsidies regardless of gender.
In addition, from the perspective of diversity and inclusion, the names and contents of the “Otokodo Up” and “Onnado Up” programs will be changed. In addition, we will establish a “Sustainable Support” system to make it easier to incorporate “environmentally friendly actions” that each individual can take, such as producing original eco-bags and personal bottles, and a “Sanikari” system to support members’ sharing economy (sharing personal belongings so that they are not wasted). As a system that utilizes the central kitchen in the office, we have added a “TKG system” that provides free “Tamago Kake Gohan” (egg on rice) to those who use our office to welcome them. *The “TKG system” will be operated with consideration for hygiene and safety.

In this COVID-19 pandemic, the way companies should be, how people work, and the values that we ourselves hold toward “working and living” have changed dramatically. What has become clearer in that context is “how much each individual can work and live in a way that they are satisfied with.” In this update of the “32 Systems,” we have formulated the systems while gathering the voices of members, keeping in mind how much we can face and support “each individual.” Starting with the “AMH testing assistance” system, which faces women’s bodies, a variety of systems have newly joined the ranks, such as the “TKG” system and the “Sustainable Support” system.
However, the “32 Systems” is not complete with this.
While capturing the atmosphere of the times, we want each and every person working here to always be able to “work in their own way.” And, by becoming “experiencers” of these welfare benefits and “disseminators” to the world, we hope that the entire world will become a little more fun and better. With that in mind, we want to continue to update it constantly.
