SUNNY SIDE UP Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Etsuko Tsugihara), a PR company with the slogan “Let’s Have Fun!”, will begin selling the book “SUNNY SIDE UP’s Step-by-Step PR Guide” (base price: 1,680 yen/excluding tax) at select bookstores nationwide from April 30, 2021 (Friday). *Sales on Amazon will begin on May 6th (Thursday) (reservations are already being accepted).

For over 30 years, our company has been involved in public relations and PR activities for various companies and organizations, from PR for the opening of commercial facilities to PR for the Japanese launch of overseas brands, public relations activities for international sports events, and even the management of athletes. In order to systematize this experience, we have created an in-house manual for new and mid-career employees. We have been promoting the creation of an environment in which any member, regardless of their background, knowledge, or experience, can immediately understand the full scope of PR work and put it into practice.
As PR (Public Relations) involves “building good relationships with all stakeholders,” corporate PR activities are no longer limited to simply gaining publicity. The area covered by PR activities extends to all communication activities that combine a variety of measures, including digital marketing, SNS campaigns, and promotional events, while focusing on publicity.
Therefore, PR professionals are required to have knowledge in a wide range of communication activities. That is why we decided to publish the in-house manual, which condenses almost all of the PR work, into a book, as we believe it will support the work of various people, such as veteran PR professionals and novice PR professionals who are struggling to install new knowledge every day, and “one-person public relations officers” at start-up companies. This book is packed with SUNNY SIDE UP’s know-how, which has supported the PR activities of companies and organizations for over 30 years, and is full of practical content that can be used from tomorrow. We created an in-house manual to be used for training and OJT for new and mid-career employees on all operations related to PR activities. The manual was edited into a single book and divided into genres of PR activities so that it can be used as a “basic guidebook” for all PR professionals. It covers almost all of the “basics of PR activities,” from the way of thinking and planning of PR to the creation of reports that are essential for actual work, as well as measures. This is a new standard for “PR textbooks” that even novice PR professionals can read without hesitation, and even people without prior knowledge can read it easily.
