[SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc., Gunosy, Grill Joint Project] Disseminating “News to Energize the World”! Joint Launch of “Corona Action”

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Etsuko Tsugihara), Gunosy Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuji Takegaya), and Grill, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Daichi Iwadate) have launched “Corona Action” to support everyone working hard every day, even amidst the activity restrictions due to the declaration of a state of emergency and the difficulties caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Since our founding in 1985, we have been involved in the PR and promotion of various projects as a PR company, and have disseminated movements that give people hope for the future. Starting with the global advocacy campaign to eradicate poverty, the “White Band Project”
in 2019 we launched “SSUʼs Social Action 3.2 for SDGs”, a project to implement and support activities aimed at contributing to the achievement of the SDGs, and have been working on addressing social issues of the time.

As a company that handles “communication” and “information,” we wondered if we could do something about the current social issues, and decided to launch a joint project with the three companies. As the first step of the project, Gunosy will launch a new channel, “Corona Action,” within the Gunosy information curation app on May 1 (Fri.) to deliver positive news that will energize everyone in the world. SUNNY SIDE UP and Grill, as operating companies, will be in charge of planning and producing some of the news article content, and Grill will also offer free coverage planning for the “Kaketsuke Gunosy Guttele” video news distribution service.

We will start an initiative to “deliver necessary information to the right people” through comprehensive communication services that cross digital and real-world domains.

■ About “Corona Action”

“Corona Action” is a project jointly launched by SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc., Gunosy Inc., and Grill, Inc. This project was launched with the desire to disseminate news that encourages people and news that is useful amidst the activity restrictions due to the government’s declaration of a state of emergency and the difficulties caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Due to the global pandemic of the virus, the number of infected people is increasing daily, precious lives are being lost, and there is an overflow of news that makes people feel anxious and sad, such as the harsh medical field and economic losses due to the prolonged period of activity restrictions. As the situation changes from moment to moment, there are many people both in Japan and overseas who are trying to get through each day unnoticed with ideas, knowledge, and sometimes humor. We want to deliver positive news that will energize the world to more people by finding information from a broad perspective and turning it into articles, transcending the boundaries of agricultural workers, food and beverage/tourism businesses, volunteer organizations, and general consumers.

Our job as a PR company is to move people’s hearts.
Now, more than ever, we should be able to do something useful for the world in this situation. Delivering Positive News! New Channel “Corona Action” Opens

A new channel, “Corona Action,” will open within the “Gunosy” app on May 1 (Fri.) to disseminate positive news. We aim to create a channel that will “make you feel a little better even when you’re feeling down.”

― We will curate positive news that will energize the world from external media partnered with the “Gunosy” app. *Gunosy is in charge

② Original articles that interview experts and deliver correct knowledge
― We will receive correct knowledge from experts and produce and publish “Gunosy” original articles through exclusive interviews.
(Examples) Asking international NGO organizations about the “now” in various parts of the world, such as Africa, “Supporting emergency support sites for infectious disease control.”
Explaining the “Application Flow for Special Fixed Amount Benefits” in an easy-to-understand video under the supervision of a tax accountant.
Delivering “Corona Weight Gain Solutions” directly from instructors to solve “Corona Weight Gain.”
Teaching easy stretches that even lazy people can do from doctors to people who sit all the time.

③ Original articles on corona countermeasures by companies and people, through voluntary planning and article solicitation from the official Twitter account
― We will solicit information on Twitter that you would like “Gunosy” to cover. Popular articles will also be published on the “Topics” channel of “Gunosy.” We will also publish articles using the “Guttele” service provided by Grill.
