SUNNY SIDE UP partnered with Australia-based ICON AGENCY to support PR for the Australia Pavilion and the placement of on-site staff. The primary objective of the PR activities was to communicate and support Australia’s goals—deepening its relationship with Japan, creating opportunities for Australia, and promoting a contemporary image of Australia—through media exposure for partner companies, exhibits, and events at the Australia Pavilion. SUNNY SIDE UP also took on the goal of engaging a wide range of Japanese stakeholders, including visitors, media, industry representatives, and government agencies, in various events through proactive PR initiatives.

Under the overarching theme “Chasing the Sun,” we expressed Australia’s energy, open atmosphere, and beautiful natural environment through the pavilion’s architecture, exhibits, events, and staff.

● Communications over 184 days
• Throughout the 184-day Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai period, we coordinated on-site bilingual staff, a photo and video team, a media liaison desk, localization of social media posts and website content, and the production of media kits to ensure smooth communications.
• We prioritized support for local Osaka media that contributed to improving visitor engagement.

● Media exposure for priority themes
In addition to extensive coverage on major networks and Osaka local media, we secured feature stories in national newspapers and online media covering the Australia Pavilion’s priority themes, including diversity, gender equality and inclusion, Indigenous peoples, sustainability, and global collaboration.
