The “Be-A Signature Shorts” are sanitary shorts that utilize unique Japanese technology to absorb approximately 125ml* of fluid. You can spend your period just by wearing them, and they are easy to wash, stress-free to care for, and can be used repeatedly.

In addition to the junior line “Be-A Petite Signature Shorts,” which are safe for children with irregular cycles, the “Be-A Ultra Heavy Night Shorts” with an absorbency of approximately 150ml*, and the new “Be-A Air Light Shorts” with a light and comfortable fit, we offer a variety of other products. Menstrual problems, which have long been avoided as a topic of discussion in society Disseminating the product development background and the developers’ thoughts

Pre-order sales of the “Be-A Signature Shorts” were conducted on the crowdfunding site “CAMPFIRE” starting June 1, 2020 (Monday), and information dissemination to the media also began at that time. Over the 45 days from the project’s launch to its completion, a total of 9,062 people contributed approximately 102.39 million yen in support. This number of supporters and total amount of support earned the project the highest ranking in the beauty and health category on “CAMPFIRE.” In addition, it received a great response, including winning the “Product Award” at the “CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Awards” announced at the end of 2020, revealing that many people in society have problems and issues that are “unique to women.”

Actions that go beyond just selling products

The word “Femtech” is now commonly used, but at the time, awareness of “absorbent shorts” was low, and there was still a tendency to refrain from openly discussing “problems unique to women.” Therefore, in addition to simply disseminating information, we communicated the results of crowdfunding as a “fact of potential needs.” In addition, by having members of the press use and experience the product, and then conveying the product’s development background and thoughts, we took an approach of increasing “product sympathizers and fans,” which led to major exposure not only in women’s media but also in economic news and information programs.

Implementation of parent-child seminars, collaboration with other companies, organizations, and schools

With the launch of the junior line “Be-A Petite Signature Shorts,” we are focusing on “children’s periods,” which are often irregular, and regularly holding parent-child seminars called “What They Don’t Teach You at School: Periods and Your Body.” Be-A Japan continues to take actions that go beyond just selling “Be-A Signature Shorts.”
