Located in “Marunouchi 1-1-1,” a green and waterfront area within walking distance from Tokyo Station and Otemachi Station. With the brand concept of “A beautiful country has a beautiful day.”, we aim to provide the “highest quality of Japan” while cherishing and inheriting the hospitality and tradition that we have cultivated, and constantly pursuing new value. In 2021, we formulated the sustainable concept “Hospitality for the Future.”, and the entire company is implementing environmentally conscious initiatives from various perspectives.

Activities

① Disseminating Long-Standing Environmental Initiatives

Palace Hotel, which has been quick to address environmental issues, was the first in the hotel industry to implement a closed-loop recycling system in 1997 that converts food waste into organic fertilizer within the hotel. The organic fertilizer produced in this way was named “Eco Palace,” and in 2001, the hotel began serving rice grown with “Eco Palace” in its restaurants. In Christmas 2021, the hotel collaborated with other companies to decorate a Christmas tree using electric lights powered by “Eco Palace,” which attracted a lot of attention.

② Awarded the Eco Mark Award for Various Activities

In addition to “Eco Palace,” the hotel has launched various products such as “Hakko Roll” and “Cake Salé” using scraps from restaurants and pastry shops. These activities were recognized and the hotel received the Eco Mark Award in October 2021, which has contributed to branding the hotel as a sustainable business.

③ Gained Exposure in a Wide Range of Media

Leveraging the relationships and unique network built over the past 10 years since the reopening, we have gained exposure in a wide range of media, including television, newspapers, and magazines, regarding our sustainable initiatives.
