Overview

“YOU MAKE SHIBUYA COUNTDOWN 2018-2019” was held on New Year’s Eve in 2018 as an initiative to ensure that visitors to Shibuya could safely and securely celebrate the New Year. It was held for the third consecutive year as part of a campaign by Shibuya Ward to promote how the city should be developed with a view to 20 years in the future. On the day, approximately 120,000 people from Japan and abroad participated, and Shibuya celebrated the New Year in grand style.

Activities

As an executive committee with the public and private sectors united,As the PR secretariat,We were in charge of planning PR communication plans and media control on the day. While giving top priority to safety measures, we provided full PR for the experiential event in which approximately 120,000 people who visited Shibuya became one at one at the moment of the New Year, and successfully disseminated information widely as a “new year-end tradition”.
