Rugby World Cup 2019 ^™ To mark 2 years before the Japan Tournament, the “Rugby World Cup 2019 2 YEARS TO GO FESTIVAL” was held for 46 days from Wednesday, 9/20/2017 to Saturday, 11/4, with various events held throughout the period. As part of this event, the “Trophy Roadshow” was held, with public viewings of the Webb Ellis Cup, the Rugby World Cup’s trophy, in 12 host cities. The aim was to stimulate interest in the tournament among rugby fans and those who do not normally have the opportunity to experience rugby, and to build momentum both domestically and internationally.

Activities

As the PR secretariat for the “Trophy Roadshow,” we attracted media to the public viewing events held in 12 host cities. In addition, by proposing to bring the winning trophy to news and information programs broadcast in the host regions, we increased interest in and awareness of the tournament among people who do not normally have the opportunity to experience rugby.
