Overview

The “F5WC(The Football Fives World Championship)” is the world’s largest five-a-side soccer tournament for amateur players aged 16 and over, which started in 2013. Qualifying tournaments are held in various parts of the world, and one team representing each country participates in the world tournament. Scouts from famous European clubs visit the world tournament to observe, making it a highly anticipated event. Japan has participated since the second tournament in 2014, and won second place in the world at the third tournament in 2015.

Activities

SUNNY SIDE UP acquired the rights to host the event in Japan from the F5WC headquarters association and launched F5WC JAPAN. As its own content, SUNNY SIDE UP was responsible for the overall management and promotion of the project, including the selection and development of tournament development partners, acquisition of sponsor companies, promotional activities to attract visitors, tournament PR, and tournament planning and management. In addition, in order to enhance the value of the tournament, SUNNY SIDE UP has been working to expose it in many media outlets, and continues to promote the value of the tournament as a place where people can “become representatives of Japan.”
