Overview

In the summer of 2012, during the London Olympics, an event was held to express gratitude for the support received from around the world during the Great East Japan Earthquake, and to convey the message that Japan is recovering and becoming energetic.
The event featured daily screenings of videos conveying “ARIGATO,” photo exhibitions, and performances of traditional Japanese culture such as Japanese dance and Wadaiko drums. In addition, the “Sake Bar,” realized through the call of Hidetoshi Nakata, saw brewers from leading Japanese breweries visit London and serve sake to people from all over the world.

Activities

SUNNY SIDE UP, as a member of the “ARIGATO in LONDON” Executive Committee, was responsible for the overall event planning, casting of Executive Committee members, sponsorship sales, and public relations activities for both domestic and international audiences. In addition, SUNNY SIDE UP was in charge of local coordination, production, and operation for the content “Sake Bar” planned by Hidetoshi Nakata, who is also a member of the Executive Committee. During the event, media from Japan and abroad, as well as people from all over the world gathered in London, and the “ARIGATO” from Japan was conveyed to the world.
