Overview

This event, held under the slogan “Medalists from Tohoku!” in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, aimed to promote recovery through sports.

We invited world-renowned legendary athletes Carl Lewis, Mike Powell, and Willie Banks to conduct the Tohoku Sports Coaching Conference, aimed at improving the skills of instructors, and the World Record Camp, which provided direct instruction. This event was covered by media not only in Japan but also around the world, demonstrating a new method of supporting disaster-stricken areas through the power of sports.

Activities

We were responsible for planning, implementation, and overall PR, both domestically and internationally.

We cast world-renowned legendary athletes, including Carl Lewis, managed the event, and attracted media from Japan and abroad. The message that “sports can help disaster-stricken areas and pave the way for the future of the next generation” was disseminated worldwide, and the event was recognized as demonstrating the new social role and value of sports.
