Overview

As a special project of “Hamasta Bay Garden” (now: Hamasta BAY Beer Garden), Brazilian food specialty stores were opened, and events such as samba dancing and music were held in the Yokohama Park lawn area where Yokohama Stadium is located, creating a Brazilian-colored space.

Activities

Towards the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics, the “Brazil Food Festival 2012” was planned and implemented from Yokohama, which has ties to Brazil, to promote Brazilian culture and become a bridge of friendship between Japan and Brazil. Many fan-participation events such as samba and capoeira were held, and many people from overseas as well as Japanese people enjoyed it, creating an opportunity for spectators to gather at the stadium.
