Overview
In May 2011, the TAKE ACTION FOUNDATION held charity matches in Singapore and Thailand to support the Great East Japan Earthquake. With donations gathered from various countries and in collaboration with the Japanese Red Cross Society, team jerseys for practice were donated in 2011 to children in Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures who had lost their private property due to the tsunami. The recipients were all 3,655 elementary, junior high, and high school soccer club members who were registered with the soccer association and applied from the three prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima. On December 24, 2011, Hidetoshi Nakata visited Isobe Junior High School in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture, to hold a presentation ceremony.

Activities
SUNNY SIDE UP, as part of the TAKE ACTION FOUNDATION’s activities, provided support for overseas match management, sales for sponsoring companies, coordination and management of match hosting, and management and PR activities for the presentation ceremony held in Tohoku. By implementing projects that would be covered by the media, we were able to widely publicize the initiative not only in the disaster-stricken areas but also throughout the country.
