SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP and Diversity (Philosophy)

At SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, we are united by our desire to “Let’s Have Fun!”
We naturally embrace the fact that each person has their own way of working and living,
and a culture has taken root where we move forward together while positively respecting diverse values.

Beyond differences in gender, age, nationality, beliefs, race, sexual orientation, and life stage,
each individual can be “themselves.” This is what generates unique and flexible ideas,
bringing depth and breadth to our communications.

Precisely because society and the times are undergoing major changes, we believe that establishing diversity as a “culture”
is an essential force for our “fun commotion.”

“Make World Better | Creating Hope for Tomorrow Through Fun Commotion”

To realize this vision, we will continue to move forward together with diverse values.

Human Rights Policy

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “the Group”) believe in the power of PR (Public Relations), which states that “if people’s hearts are moved, their actions will change, and eventually the world will change.” Through communication-related business activities, we aim to solve various issues and create new values for a new era in the world. The Group believes that communication services created by each individual, who is responsible for “fun commotion,” with their human rights, diverse personalities, and values respected, and with their abilities fully demonstrated, will lead to a better world. To this end, the Group has formulated this Human Rights Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) and will promote continuous efforts to respect human rights.

[Important Issues Related to Human Rights]

  1. Respect for Diversity and Prohibition of Discrimination
We mutually recognize diverse personalities and values, and prohibit discrimination and human rights violations based on race, nationality, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other factors.
  2. Prevention of Harassment
We always act with the prevention of various forms of harassment in mind, and strive to avoid harming the honor and dignity of individuals.
  3. Creating a Workplace Environment Where Everyone Can Thrive
To enable each individual to thrive in their own way, we provide equal opportunities regardless of attributes such as nationality, age, or gender, and we appropriately manage working hours and maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment so that everyone can fully utilize their abilities.
  4. Respect for Human Rights in Our Services
We establish a review system and exercise the utmost care to ensure that the expressions in the communication services provided by our group do not lead to human rights violations.

1. Scope of Application of the Human Rights Policy

This Policy applies to all officers and employees (officers, regular employees, contract employees, and part-time employees) and dispatched employees of the Group. We also expect that related parties, including the Group’s business partners, will cooperate in respecting human rights in accordance with this Policy.

2. Compliance with International Norms and Laws

The Group complies with international norms such as the human rights stipulated in the “International Bill of Human Rights,” the principles regarding fundamental rights listed in the “ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,” and the “Children’s Rights and Business Principles” formulated by UNICEF, the United Nations Global Compact, and Save the Children. We also comply with the laws and regulations applicable in the countries and regions where we conduct business activities. If there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and the laws and regulations of each country or region, we will pursue methods to maximize respect for international human rights norms.

3. Governance on Human Rights

The Board of Directors of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP supervises the efforts to respect human rights stipulated in this Policy. The Board of Directors receives regular reports on human rights infringement risks from the Risk and Compliance Committee, discusses important issues related to human rights, and supervises the impact on business activities.

4. Correction and Remedy

If it becomes clear that the Group’s business activities have caused or promoted negative impacts on human rights, we will work to correct them through appropriate means. We will verify the contents of consultations and reports received regarding human rights, and if human rights violations are confirmed, we will take corrective measures.

Welfare System Providing a Comfortable Working Environment for Women

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP is committed to creating a workplace where women can work authentically and continue to thrive over the long term. At the heart of this effort is Dear WOMAN, one of our unique employee benefit initiatives within the 32 Benefits, designed to support both physical and mental well-being while responding thoughtfully to different life stages.

By continuously evolving these systems in step with the times, we strive to foster an environment where all women can pursue their careers with confidence and peace of mind.

“Dear Woman” System

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP offers a unique employee benefits framework called the 32 Benefits, designed to support everyone in working—and living—in a way that feels true to who they are. Among these initiatives, Dear WOMAN continues to evolve in step with the times, guided by our belief in expanding not only women’s choices in how they work, but also in how they live their lives.

LBGTQ

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP promotes understanding of LGBTQ issues and creates a comfortable working environment based on a culture that respects diverse values. We respect sexual diversity and promote the creation of an environment where everyone can work comfortably.

“Partnership” System

One of the 32 Benefits, the Partnership Program, is a modern workplace policy grounded in our commitment to diversity—recognizing and respecting individual differences. Under this program, employees in same-sex marriages or de facto partnerships are eligible for the same benefits as legally married couples, including marriage and childbirth gifts, as well as marriage leave.

In-house training

We are conducting various initiatives to broaden understanding of LGBTQ issues and foster a culture of mutual respect.
