Governance

Basic Policy on Corporate Governance

We consider the concept of “PR (Public Relations) thinking,” which aims to foster mutual understanding and consensus between corporations and society, as one of our management strategies that permeates the business of all companies within the group. To understand and prepare for what society as a whole, encompassing diverse stakeholders, expects from corporations, it is essential to strengthen corporate governance.

We believe that these efforts will lead to improved management soundness and efficiency, ultimately enhancing corporate value. We also employ a group management system based on the “separation of management supervision and execution,” with the Board of Directors responsible for supervising management and making decisions regarding the group management system. The Board of Directors places greater emphasis on its management supervision function, while the Management Committee makes decisions regarding business execution, thereby expediting decision-making related to execution.

We ensure management transparency and objectivity by reflecting objective perspectives from outside directors and diverse values through a composition that is not limited by the attributes of female directors, etc., on the Board of Directors.
