Profile
He moved from Nara Prefecture to Mie Prefecture as a child. His parents started managing a large parking lot near the sea, and surfers gathered there every day, which led him to become familiar with surfing.
He started participating in competitions at the age of 6, and began surfing in earnest from the third grade of elementary school. After achieving good results in several competitions, he passed the JPSA pro test at the age of 16 and became a professional surfer.
In 2015, he won the “JPSA Shortboard Men’s Ranking Japan Champion” title. In the future, in order to participate in the world’s highest峰 “World Championship Tour (WCT)”, he will move his base overseas and aim for a top 10 point ranking in the “World Qualifying Series (WQS)” to obtain the right to participate in the WCT. He also aims to be selected as a Japanese national team player for surfing, which has been officially decided as an additional event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
