Profile

Born in 2008, from Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

Both parents are table tennis players; her father is a former coach for the Japan Men’s Junior National Team, and her mother is a former representative player in the World Table Tennis Championships.

Her brother, five years older, is Tomokazu Harimoto, a bronze medalist in the men’s team table tennis event at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Born into a table tennis family, she began playing table tennis in earnest at the age of 2, and was selected for the U15 Japan National Team at the age of 10. The following year, at 11 years old, she was selected for the U18 Japan National Team, and at 13 years old, she became a candidate for the National Team.

202112At the World Youth Table Tennis Championships held in Portugal in Month, she achieved the first-ever4title.

In the All-Japan Table Tennis Championships in January 2024, she achieved two consecutive victories in the junior division and second place in the general singles division. In addition, she won a silver medal at the World Table Tennis Championships team event held in February.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics in June, she won a team silver medal. At the Asian Championships held in October, she participated as a key player and contributed to the first team victory in 50 years.

In the All-Japan Table Tennis Championships in January 2025, she achieved her third consecutive victory in the junior division and was the runner-up in the general singles division.
