Born in 1999, from Toyama Prefecture.

His 2-year-old brother, Rui Hachimura, is an active member of the Japanese national team and plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the world’s premier basketball league, the NBA.

He played baseball, soccer, and track and field in elementary school. He started playing basketball seriously from the first year of junior high school, and was first selected for the U-16 Japan national team in his first year of high school. Since then, he has steadily progressed through the ranks of the U-18 Japan national team and the U-22 Japan national team. He was also selected for the B.LEAGUE ASIA RISING STAR GAME held on January 13, 2023, and is expected to be a key player in the future of Japanese basketball.
