SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP has been recognized with the highest “BEST WORKPLACE” rating in the “D&I Award,” which is hosted by JobRainbow Inc., a company that develops LGBT training, LGBT employment support, and LGBT consulting businesses, and evaluates companies’ diversity and inclusion initiatives.
In July 2015, our company launched the “SSU DIVERSITY LAB” project with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion. Since then, we have promoted the creation of an environment where “each individual can work in their own way” that embodies the spirit of diversity and inclusion, such as the establishment of the “Dear WOMAN” welfare system, which includes egg freezing assistance and semen testing assistance, the establishment of the “Partnership” system, which grants marriage leave and other rights to members who have entered into same-sex marriages or common-law marriages, and the appointment of our Representative Director, Etsuko Tsugihara, as the chairperson of the Keidanren Diversity Promotion Committee.
This award was given in recognition of our comprehensive and continuous activities, such as fostering a corporate culture of diversity and inclusion, members actively promoting it, and reflecting it in all aspects of our services, businesses, and corporate organization.
*The “D&I Award” is Japan’s largest award that recognizes companies working on diversity & inclusion. It scores the D&I initiatives of applicant companies operating in Japan using its own unique indicators and provides certification according to the score. Of the 233 companies (including 547 group-affiliated companies), 128 companies, or 54.9% of the total, received Best Workplace certification.

This is a unique welfare program established in 2011 based on the slogan “Let’s Have Fun!” so that members can lead enjoyable and fulfilling lives. It consists of systems that incorporate our company’s unique characteristics, such as “Fun Commotion Creation Support,” “Love Match Leave,” “Heartbreak Leave,” “Birthday Leave,” and “Happiness Doesn’t Come Walking.” We are promoting the creation of an environment where “each individual can work in their own way” by updating it as appropriate to keep up with the trends of the times.
