Etsuko Tsugihara, President and CEO of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), as President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), presented the “IPRA President’s Award 2022” to the globally deployed “30% Club” women’s advancement campaign.
The “IPRA President’s Award” is an award presented annually by the IPRA President to individuals or organizations deemed to have made “outstanding contributions to the world.” In 2022, the global campaign “30% Club,” which aims to increase the percentage of women in key corporate decision-making bodies, including boards of directors, was selected and recognized as the “IPRA President’s Award 2022.”
Since its establishment in the UK in 2010, this campaign has been rolled out in over 20 countries. In the UK, where the percentage of female executives in the FTSE-100 (FTSE100 Index) was 12.6% at the time of establishment, it has now reached 40%. Significant results have also been achieved in other countries around the world, including Italy and Ireland. We hope that this campaign will gain further recognition and spread to many more countries, thereby further accelerating diversity and inclusion, including the promotion of women’s advancement, worldwide.

Etsuko Tsugihara will continue her duties with the association as a Post President Board Member. We will continue to promote activities to help further develop the global PR industry and continue to create “fun buzz” that connects the world.
