SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Etsuko Tsugihara; hereinafter, “the Company”) will change the trade name of its wholly owned subsidiary, SUNNY SIDE UP CAREER Inc., to Good Company Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Emi Tanimura), which will engage in the social issue solution platform development business in addition to the existing human resource placement business, etc., and will commence full-scale business activities on Monday, September 13, 2021.

As a PR communications group, our group has been involved in numerous participatory projects aimed at solving social issues, starting with the global advocacy campaign to eradicate poverty, the “White Band Project,” even before the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) were adopted.

In recent years, however, market needs related to the global social environment, as well as SDGs and ESG, have changed and expanded. “Sustainability” has been established as a common philosophy for society as a whole, and we are entering an era in which companies are required to create both “corporate profits” and “public benefits that contribute to solving social issues.”

Our group has proactively responded to these trends and determined that it is necessary to create communication services that meet the increasingly important social needs of “social responsibility” and “sustainability.” We will work with experts and business partners specializing in various fields to transcend the frameworks of companies and organizations, and aim to “co-create and realize solutions to social issues” in areas that go beyond the concept of existing PR communication businesses, and will launch business activities under the new company name “Good Company Inc.”

Good Company Inc. will function as a point of contact for the social issue solution platform business within our group, thereby functioning as a management pillar that forms the social value of our group, and will aim to achieve the “sustainable coexistence of corporate profits and public benefits.”

Joined SUNNY SIDE UP Inc. in 2009. After being involved in the launch of new brand promotion projects in the company’s specialist management and new business development departments, she joined the President’s Office in 2016.
