WHAT IS “EGG”?

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Etsuko Tsugihara) will launch the conference program “EGG (Entertainment Group Gathering).

The concept is “Updating Fun.” We invite professionals active in the world of communication and entertainment to operate it as a place to learn “how to enjoy and move the world” from various perspectives such as media, art, advertising, and social good.

Concept

The origin of Entertain is “to make people happy.” As we are facing a turning point in the times, this action and feeling of “making people happy” is becoming important in any industry or job, not just in the PR and entertainment industries. (And more than anything, it is important to “enjoy yourself”.)

“EGG” is a place to experience “true Entertain,” which is needed in the new era. We invite professionals active in the world of communication and entertainment to learn “how to enjoy and move the world” from various perspectives such as media, art, advertising, and social good.

How can we update the “fun” in the world? How can we fill our lives with “fun and fulfilling time?”

By sharing, learning, and stimulating each other’s wisdom, a new era of “fun excitement” should be born from this place.

Speaker

The speaker for April’s “EGG” is Mr. Shiro Oguni, a producer who has launched a series of projects that move the world, such as “deleteC,” a project to support cancer treatment research, and “The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders,” where people with dementia serve customers. While working as an NHK director, Mr. Oguni worked on the production of documentary programs and the smartphone app “Professional: My Style,” while also working on social movements such as “The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders.” He will talk about how to approach social issues from a unique perspective and how to create projects that involve those around you and move the world. It will be held online for free on Monday, April 26, from 11:00 to 12:30. Applications are being accepted on the “EGG” official website.

Shiro Oguni (Representative Director, Shiro Oguni Office Inc.) Profile
Joined NHK in 2003. While producing documentary programs, he also worked on the smartphone app “Professional: My Style,” which recorded 2 million downloads, and the video distribution service for SNS “NHK 1.5 Channel,” which included videos that exceeded 100 million views worldwide, as well as the “Restaurant of Mistaken Orders,” where people with dementia work as hall staff, which was distributed in 150 countries around the world as a personal project. He left NHK in June 2018 and is currently in his current position. He is involved in a wide range of projects, including the J. League social contribution project “Sharen!” (2018~), the sponsor company activation project for the Rugby World Cup 2019 Japan Tournament “Marunouchi 15th Street Project” (2018~2019), and the project to make cancer a curable disease with everyone’s power “deleteC” (2018~).
