SUNNY SIDE UP Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Etsuko Tsugihara) is pleased to announce that it has signed a management agreement with Takeru Kitazono, a gymnast from Seifu High School in Osaka, as of August 11, 2020 (Tuesday).
Takeru Kitazono won a total of five gold medals at the 3rd Youth Olympic Games, the first time in history, in the men’s individual all-around and individual events. At the National High School Athletic Meet in 2019, he achieved four titles in the men’s individual all-around and individual events, despite being a second-year high school student. He is a promising talent in the Japanese gymnastics world who has achieved excellent results not only in Japan but also in international competitions. From April 2021, he will belong to the Tokushukai Gymnastics Club, which is coached by Isao Yoneda, and aims to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and become an athlete who can succeed on the world stage.
