Our Group’s Response to the Extension of the State of Emergency

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Etsuko Tsugihara) and its consolidated subsidiaries have been implementing countermeasures sequentially from an early stage to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

As of today, no members have been confirmed to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. However, in accordance with the government’s extension of the state of emergency, our company’s response policy will continue for the same period (*). We will also act accordingly if the state of emergency is lifted. *State of Emergency Extension Period: Until Sunday, May 31

Our measures are as follows:

Response Policy
Our company and its consolidated subsidiaries will establish a system that allows members to choose a working style that suits their respective companies, departments, and duties, and will strive to encourage members to refrain from going out during the period.

A) Telecommuting Shift: A shift in which duties are performed at home.
Target: Primarily members engaged in sales, production, and planning positions.

B) Alternating Shift: A shift in which telecommuting and in-office work are performed on alternate days.
Target: Primarily members engaged in sales administration and management positions.

C) Hybrid Shift: A shift in which telecommuting and in-office work are incorporated within a single day.
Target: Primarily members engaged in duties with special circumstances.

If it is unavoidable to come to the office, we will strive to avoid congestion and be mindful of social distancing even after coming to the office.
