The information that PR companies develop and transmit covers a wide range of genres, from products and events to business and facilities; people and more. In any of these cases, it is only once the media recognises its value as broadcasting material, and actually transmits or publishes it that information becomes 'news'. At Sunny Side Up we make a point of bearing this in mind as we go about our work of creating 'stories' for the news. |
 |
One of the greatest weapons a PR company can have, and one which is crucial in order to translate ideas into action, is to be part of an intimate network with the media. This includes not only the issuing of press releases, but also planning of projects, running of press tours, holding press conferences and events, attracting interviews, arranging for clients to feature in articles and on-air presentations, and following up at each stage of the process, always taking advantage of our network with the media. |

In a situation where the message you want to spread is seen as news, announcements in the presence of the press can provide invaluable opportunities. In order to gain the interest of a large part of the media industry, and further to ensure the spread through news of a clear and accurate image in the minds of the public, the production and planning of each press conference itself becomes a key factor. In the case of PR events which are aimed at attracting media exposure, by incorporating people or places who are the subjects of attention; elements relevant to the season, or a sense of unpredictability, the presentation of our subjects or clients is calculated to be more effective than otherwise possible. And with this sense of "newsworthiness" as the base, we work to achieve more media exposure than would otherwise be achievable. |

At Sunny Side Up we handle publicity in various forms, from ongoing promotion of companies to short-term projects, in some cases involving the opening of PR offices or pressrooms from which to carry out agency activities for limited periods of time. In other cases we handle the introduction of foreign business into the Japanese market and campaigns for new brands, where it is crucial that promotional strategies are interlinked with PR activities. In the case of the management of enterprises’ brand images and so on over a long period of time, we find there to be great merit in continuing strategic PR activities based on an intimate consulting relationship with each client. On top of this, we feel that the level of flexibility and mobility and the network of resources that is available to a client when they outsource a PR agent is incomparably richer than that achievable from the confines of in-house-conducted PR and promotions. |

Our work goes beyond PR activities. We create proposals to provide our clients or their products with the widest recognition possible, on various levels. While bearing in mind our purpose, being to create interest that will lead to broadcasting, we plan, produce and manage. |
 |
| PR activities need to be based on a PR strategy that takes into account both the current situation, i.e. the way in which an enterprise or brand itself is viewed by society and what kind of image it possesses, and on a plan as to how to change or develop that position in the future. One great feature at Sunny Side Up is that using the full possibilities of communication, our consulting takes in a very broad scope, from visions for the future of enterprises to product brand imaging. |
